7 June-14 Sept the Annual Merging Visions Exhibition will be available for viewing at the Meadows Gallery in the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton. This is a collaboration of the Visual Arts Society of Texas with the Denton Poet's Society.
Don't miss the Visual Arts of Lewisville big show of the year: Fresh Ideas Juried Exhibition in the MCL Grand Performance Center. Two of my works were chosen for inclusion: a large round weaving, "Birds of a Feather" and an oil pastel work, "On Purpose." The show runs 20 July-24 August.

Visit the Eisemann Performance Hall in September to see the 56th Juried Southwester Watercolor Society Membership Show. My "Pearl Sunflowers" was chosen by juror, Vladislav Yeliseyev to be included.
At the Tierney's Tavern and Restaurant on Main Street I am scheduled to hang art in the hallway areas inside the restaurant from 25 August-27 October.

The Society of Watercolor Artists is hosting its Annual Juried Membership Show 28 Sept-Nov 30 in the University of North Texas Health Science Building Atrium Gallery. Come see the art work chosen by well-known artist, Judy Betts as juror.
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX
My "Tangled Tulips" watercolor image has been chosen for a traffic signal box cover. It will be my second box as a Project of the City of Grand Prairie Public Art Program. Stayed tuned to find out location!

A new year begins....
"Night Blooms, Nairobi" won 4th place in the Visual Arts Society of Texas Membership Show with juror Donna Howell-Sickles.
"The Message", a mixed media with oil, cold wax and pastel won the Abstract Award of Merit in the 2019 National Small Works Show in Mena, ARK. This, along with another piece accepted, and an award last year has earned my Signature Status with SouthWest Artists, Inc.
Two of my paintings, "Night Blooms, Nairobi, Kenya" and "Beneath the Banyan" have been accepted by the curator to be published in the inaugural edition of the Contempo Annual book, Vol. 1.
The Visual Arts Society of Texas in Denton voted "Spirit of Chichen Itza, Mexico", a watercolor, as first place for March Art of the Month.
At the February meeting of Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth my "Spirit of Chichen Itza, Mexico" won 2nd place for Art of the Month.
In Lewisville the MCL Grand Hosted "American the Beautiful" Juried Exhibition in January. One of my 3 pieces accepted, "Ghosts in the Snow, Ghost Ranch," a photograph, won Honorable Mention. (I awlays wanted to see the Ranch in the wintertime and it did not disappoint with snow flurries after I arrived on the property.
During the month of March the north hallway at the Lewisville MCL Grand hosted the winning monthly art pieces from 2018. My photograph, "Morning Ride, Magilligan Point, Northern Ireland" was included.
I love to share! I have done demo painting/ workshops for several North Texas art associations: Lewisville, Fort Worth, McKinney, Gainesville, Decatur, Sherman, Paris, Mid-Cities, Johnson County in Cleburn, Grand Prairie and Weatherford. Further away, I've had workshops at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu and Santa Fe, NM; Branson, MO; Sedona, AZ and Topeka, KS.
