My artwork was selected to appear in the 30th Anniversary edition 2017 Cheap Joe's Art Stuff Reference Catalog. My "Warriors of Xian, China" was among hundreds of images submitted. It is pictured on this website under the calendars tab for 2014.
Visual Arts of Lewisville is hosting the "Wild and Free" Juried Exhibition at the MCL Grand 15Sept-13 Oct. My favorite is my "Bug in a Box"...you have to see it to appreciate it!
I earned my signature status with the Southwestern Watercolor Society in Dallas with their 55th Juried Membership Show which runs 29 Aug-30 September at the Eisemann Performance Center.

The 2018 Grand Prairie Arts Council Open Show will have 3 of my works. A weaving, collage and a watercolor are included 21 Sept-29 October.
WICHITA FALLS, TX
The Wichita Falls 5th Annual Photography Juried Exhibition is scheduled 29 Sept-9 November at the Wichita Falls Art Gallery in the Historic Holt Hotel located at 600 8th Street.
Come to the Collaborative Exhibit of Art and Poetry with the Merging Visions 2018 running 20 Oct-24 Nov at the Meical City Lewisville Grand Theater (MCL Grand), 100 N Charles St at Main St. Two of my pieces will be there.
Art in the Atrium 17, 24 Sept-8 March 2019 George A. Purefoy Municipal Center with the City of Frisco Public Art Program. They are exhibiting one part of a tryptych painted on a 20 x 20 canvas.
Check out the display cases on the east entrance to the Lewisville City Library. I will fill the cases the month of February 2019.
Some of my 2018 news!
In June 2018 another workshop/retreat was added to the mix. Rather than watercolor, we spent the week with a different media each day--textiles with Shibori and weaving, printmaking, jewelry, pouring acrylics and more! It was a tremendous success and will most likely have a follow-up next Spring!
"Thirsty Too" won the Jeanne Heartsill Memorial Honorable Mention at the 29th Visual Arts Society of Texas Membership Show.

The first place 3-D went to my "Thirsty" at the Trinity Arts Guild in Bedford, TX.
My "Red Dragons" image was chosen for a traffic box at the intersection of Arkansas and Cannon in Grand Prairie. It appears on my website front page.
At the SouthWest Artists, Inc in Mena, ARK I won an Award of Merit for my "Unzipped" mixed media.
In April I taught a 4-day workshop in Topeka, KS for the Topeka Art Guild.
"Home of the Ancients" was painted on site at Montezuma's Castle in AZ and was chosen as April Art of the Month at the Society of Watercolor Artists.
My "Waiting in Ireland" photograph won 2nd place Art of the Month at the Feb Visual Arts of Lewisville meeting.
In February I gave watercolor demos to the Grand Prairie Art Asso ("Exploring Texture and Watercolor") and in Fort Worth to Society of Watercolor Artists ("Painting from Your Travel Photos--Cambodia").
"Thirsty Too" won 2nd place as Art of the Month at the Visual Arts Society of Texas January meeting. It is a 3-D collage designed to hang on the wall.
"Stranded in New Zealand" watercolor won 1st place Member's Choice Award with the Richardson Civic Art Society in January.
