FRISCO, TX:
The City of Frisco chose my watercolor image of "1925 Packard" to appear on one of the banners in the Rail District. There are
20 artists included from a field of 200!
In January I gave an art demo for the Paris Art Study Club, Paris,
TX--how to journal with art as your travel.
In February I was the demo artist at the Visual Arts Society of Texas in Denton--using watercolor and
ink.
The Visual Arts of Lewisville had me demo at the monthly meeting using Ampersand panels and sculpting on the
surface. The final piece was painted with watercolor.
At the Visual Arts Society of Texas
175-mile Juried Exhibition my weaving, "Feather Dance, Ghost Ranch" won 2nd place. Another piece, "Green with Envy", watercolor, was also included. Jim Humphries, juror.
My "Pink Hollyhocks" won 1st place for Art
of the Month at the Visual Arts Society of Texas.
In March I won Honorable Mention at
the Richardson Civic Art Society's Spring Show at ArtReach Gallery, Lovers Lane United Methodist
Church, 9200 Inwood Rd, Dallas. Of the 3 works included, my "Camelia, Giverny Garden, France" won Honorable Mention in watermedia.
At the Visual Arts of Lewisville June
meeting, my "Flowers Flipped" was awarded 2nd place, Art of the Month.
In October my "Over the Line" won 1st
place Art of the Month at Visual Arts of Lewisville.
MY NEW BOOK:
I have written and published a 28-page book, "Making an Art Journal...As You Travel. How-to Ideas with Darla Bostick".
