Look for my work at the Texas Watercolor Society 68th Juried Exhibition this year in Denton 9 June-26 August at the Center of
Visual Arts on Hickory St and Bell Ave.
I have 13 pieces at Stokes Exhibit in Denton starting 7 August, 608 E. Hickory Street They are open from 8-5
M-F. The building is part of a strip of new businesses that
runs adjacaent to Hickory, at the train station right across the street from the city offices and police station. The back side of the building is facing the railroad tracks and the
Patterson Appleton Center.
"Ladies of Lamu, Kenya" is part of the Lewisville Art League's "Fresh Ideas 2017 Juried Exhibition" 29 July-9
where I am scheduled!
"Sunset Vineyards" will be in the lobby of the Greater Lewisville Theatre during September.
My mandala painting "Berries and Blooms" has been accepted as part of the 2018 Visual Arts Society of Texas annual
calendar. More later when the Calendar Exhibition will be available for viewing, and the calendars will be for sale.

"Shaded Hostas" won Honorable Menton at the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco Artrageous Juried Show at the
Frisco Discover Center.
"Unraveled" is a cold wax mixed media piece and was one of 10 recognized with an award in the Tom Peyton
Memorial Exhibition in LA.
Also in May the Richardson Civic Art Society gave me an award at the Eisemann Performance Hall.
I won Art of the Month at the Lewisville Visual Arts Association for March with
"Doodle Doo." It appears in the changing images of work done from my watercolor class.
My "Warriors of Xian, China" is featured in the 30th Anniversary edition of Cheap
Joe's Art Stuff Reference Catalog which is available in Jan.
My "Believe" mixed media piece won
1st place Art of the Month at Visual Arts Society of Texas.
My "Ladies of Lamu, Kenya" has been garnering some awards. In October the Richardson Civic Art Society Juried
Membership Show provided an Honorable Mention, watermedia and in May it won 1st place for Art of the Month with the Society of Watercolor Artists in Fort Worth. It is the same piece that was
exhibited in the Texas and Neighbors Regional Show in Irving and the Trinity Arts Guild in Bedford.
I won 2nd place in mixed media in the Richardson Civic Art Society Spring Show with "Believe," a piece done on
yupo using acrylic, ink and watercolor with a scraffito message.
In the Visual Arts of Lewisville Juried "My Favorite Things" Show my piece won 3rd place.
In the 2015 Richardson Juried Membership Show I was awarded 2nd place in Watermedia.
In the Fort Worth Society of Watercolor Artists' 2015 Juried Membership Exhibition my piece won the "Award of
Achievement." It is the same piece featured on the cover of my 2015 calendar.
I won the People's Choice Award at the 2015 Visual Arts of Lewisville Juried Fresh Ideas Show. (I did not win
an award from the juror but the viewers liked it!) It is featured in my calendar--the one with cupcakes called "Sweet Tooth."
At the September Visual Arts Society of Texas meeting I won 2nd place in the Art of the Month and at the
Lewisville Visual Arts Association I won 1st place.
In the 2015 Richardson Civic Art Society Exhibition I won a couple of awards. In Mixed Media I won a
merchandise award and in the Oils/Acylics division mine won 1st place.
I have participated in Public Art Projects in Lewisville (a group canvas project) and
Fort Worth (a mosaic toll-road column project).
I have done demo painting/workshops for several North Texas art associations: Lewisville, Fort Worth, McKinney,
Gainesville, Decatur, Sherman, Paris, Mid-Cities, Johnson County in Cleburn and Weatherford. Contact me if you need a speaker, demo artist or juror!
